in-Home Personal Care
What is In-Home Care?
In-Home Personal Care, or help with the instrumental activities of daily living, includes health and nutrition support, personal comfort, and other services that allow individuals and families to stay together in the home.
Who Receives In-Home Care?
In-Home services may be Short-Term; For example, someone who is recovering from an operation or illness. Or Long-Term; For individuals who need ongoing care such as an elderly senior or a person with a physical or intellectual disability.
Short-Term & Respite Care
Short-Term and/or Respite Care, is usually a short period of rest and relief for the regular caregiver of the sick, elderly, or disabled. This type of In-Home Care may be for a few hours or weeks but provides a much-needed respite away for those currently caring for a loved one or family member.
Long-Term Care
Long-Term Care commonly involves a variety of services designed to meet a person’s Personal Care needs when they can no longer perform everyday activities on their own, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, using the restroom, eating, and walking.
In-Home Long-Term Care allows people to live independently and safely in their own homes while fostering heath, hope, and a better quality of life with a tangible reduction in the costs of care.
